As the new KMTA president, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to all of you. I have been a member of KMTA for almost 7 years in which time I have served in the capacity of Collaborative Music Chair and of course President-Elect. I am also the piano professor at Friends University in Wichita where I am in my 28th year of teaching. I would also like to thank Dr. Brett Janssen for his years of committed leadership as President as well as his help and guidance to me as I assume the reins of presidential duty. I would also like to commend the executive board and leaders in our local associations for all of the hard work they do in helping to keep a thriving music environment in our state.
