Collaborative Music Chair, J. Bradley Baker.
As the KMTA Collaborative Music Chair, it is my honor to announce that KMTA and the National Opera Association are teaming up to present a collaborative piano and opera conference on September 29 at Tabor College's Shari Flaming Center for the Arts in Hillsboro. Mark your calendars to join us!
The conference will consist of academic sessions covering topics related to oollaborative piano, pedagogy, repertoire, opera, and directing, followed by an opera scenes performance by teacher-nominated student singers and pianists. The conference schedule will be full of opportunities for seasoned professionals and students alike. We are honored to welcome as our guest clinician Copeland Woodruff, Director of Opera Studies at Lawrence Conservatory, who has directed more than ninety (!) productions all over the world and worked with world-renowned pianists and coaches.
